Josh.ai builds toward two major launch moments each year, and CEDIA Expo 2026 in Denver is the larger of the two. Ahead of the show, CEO Alex Capecelatro sat down with CE Pro to preview what the team is bringing to the floor: new hardware, a redesigned software platform, and a suite of AI-powered tools built specifically for the dealers who install and support Josh every day.
Josh Edge
Leading the showcase is Josh Edge, the handheld remote that pairs tactile physical buttons with controls that can be customized for every client. Since launch it has been quickly embraced by dealers, and it gives homeowners a beautiful way to experience Josh well beyond voice.
Attendees will be able to pick one up and use it throughout the booth.
AI X OS
Also on display is AI X OS, the newest Josh.ai software platform, featuring a redesigned interface and expanded capabilities across the Josh App and touchscreens.
Longtime users will find a great deal that is new, and anyone experiencing Josh for the first time can explore the platform live in the booth's demo environment.
Pro Studio
For integrators, Josh.ai is introducing Pro Studio, a collection of AI-powered tools focused on training, system management, and deployment. At its center is an AI assistant that guides installers through programming and configuration, supported by portfolio management tools for overseeing systems across every account. Pro Studio also brings natural language programming to the platform, allowing dealers to build sophisticated automations simply by describing what they want the system to do.
The result is less time spent in configuration and more time spent designing, selling, and installing.
Inside the booth
Rather than recreating a luxury living room, this year's booth takes its design cues from an art gallery: open, uncluttered, and made to be explored.
Interactive stations dedicated to Josh Edge, AI X OS, and Pro Studio invite visitors to get hands-on with each product, while an enclosed demo room brings the complete Josh experience together in a single space.
Looking beyond the show floor
Alex sees the greatest near-term opportunity for AI in two places: helping dealers run more efficient businesses, and making home control genuinely effortless for homeowners.
He expects the coming years to be shaped less by robotics and more by intelligent software running locally in the home, unlocking experiences that are faster, more private, and far more aware of context. It is a vision that has guided Josh.ai since day one, and it continues to guide what the team is building next.
