Josh.ai: Meet the Team — Jeff 🆕

At Josh.ai, I love that the smart home experience goes beyond cool tech, it’s about making life easier and feeling connected to the spaces we live in. That’s why I’m excited to join the Support team, where I get to help people get the most out of their systems and actually enjoy what their smart home can do. I’m looking forward to learning from our customers, solving real problems, and being part of the team that makes powerful technology feel simple and enjoyable to use.

What do you do at Josh? I am a Technical Sales Engineer for the West. I help on-board dealers ensuring they are excited and well-equipt to be successful with Josh.ai. That means a lot of support and training.

Where are you from originally? Dana Point - Southern California

What do you love about the smart home? I love making technology disappear. Balancing performance and functionality while maintaining a home’s aesthetic, letting a home be beautiful - that’s fun.

What are you most excited about over the next few years? Lighting. There is such a lasting impact with how we live and function under lights. Better controls. Seamless interactions. A ton of growth here.

iPhone or Android? iPhone - Though I do miss my old Razr from back in the day.

What do you do for fun? Desert camping, fishing, off-roading. Got to disconnect from time to time and get out into nature.

If you could go anywhere, where would it be? Would love to see Gobekli Tepe in Turkey. It is where neolithic man settled and built some of the first monuments ever. Cooperation and construction for a creative purpose - a really long time ago. That's pretty cool.

Favorite restaurant in the world? I miss the original Javiar’s in Laguna Beach. The new one is alright but has lost its “hidden gem” charm.

Favorite IoT / smart home product? Edge remote, hands down.

What is your favorite feature of Josh? NLP! Josh made the best sleep timer in the world.

Favorite books / reading material / websites? I enjoy authors like Lee Child and Preston & Child. Literary fast-food, good for vacation reads. I go down Wikipedia rabbit holes too.
