Nimble DevSuite+ expands the tools available for integrators to address unique client needs while personalizing smart home experiences. The update advances Josh.ai's ongoing commitment to supporting its dealer network with flexible development capabilities while maintaining its focus on delivering intuitive whole-home control.
A key enhancement in Nimble DevSuite+ is the ability for Josh.ai to communicate with externally hosted Home Assistant environments. This optional capability allows advanced installers to leverage an open source third-party platform when configuring systems for projects with specialized requirements. By supporting connectivity through an independently hosted environment, Josh.ai offers installers additional protocol flexibility without requiring custom development within the Josh.ai platform itself.
Nimble DevSuite+ also introduces expanded tools for advanced integrators to develop and deploy their own custom drivers for unique project needs. These independently developed drivers operate on additional hardware units and are not officially supported or certified by Josh.ai. The new functionality gives professional installers greater freedom to address specialized client requests while continuing to utilize Josh.ai's modern control experience.
